Applesauce Jumbles

1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
3/4 cup applesauce
2 3/4 cup flour
1 t salt
1/2 t soda
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t cloves
1 cup nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Brown Butter Glaze:
1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
4 T hot water

Heat butter over low heat till golden. Remove from heat. Blend in sugar and vanilla. Stir in hot water till spreading consistency.
